Professional football star Lehmann was acquired by West Ham United of the FA Women’s Super League in August 2018 from BSC YB Frauen.

Lehmann’s performances in the 2018 UEFA Women’s Under-19 Championship, which Switzerland hosted, reportedly impressed West Ham boss Matt Beard.

Lehmann’s contract at West Ham was extended in April 2019 after she scored nine goals in 30 appearances and assisted the team in winning the Women’s FA Cup.

In October 2017, Lehmann earned her first national team appearance for Switzerland. At the 2018 Cyprus Women’s Cup, she scored her maiden goal against Finland on March 2, 2018.

Lehmann thought she wasn’t “mentally ready” to compete in the UEFA European Women’s Football Championship in 2022, hence she was unable to represent Switzerland in the competition.

Alisha Lehmann Relationship

Lehmann is bisexual. She used to identify as a lesbian. She once dated Ramona Bachmann, a member of the Swiss women national squad.

Douglas Luiz, a midfielder for Aston Villa, dated her for a while.

A BBC documentary was produced about Bachmann and Lehmann’s relationship, which terminated on March 7, 2021.
