    Alfie Haaland is quoted as saying, “My son has a lot of various playing alternatives,” in reports in which he discussed his son’s (Erling Haaland) potential future in football.

    Erling Haaland is already a star at Etihad Stadium after scoring 11 goals in just seven Premier League games for the recent Premier League champions.

    The 22-year-old was also dangerous during stints at RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund before signing for Manchester City this summer for £51.4m.

    He scored about once per game for both teams ( RB Salzburg and Borussia Dortmund) and is still active in the English league.

    Alfie Haaland has offered food for thought to Manchester City supporters by saying that his son may yet want to play in other major leagues.

    The five-year contract that Erling Haaland signed with Manchester City is reported to include exit fees.

    Alfie Haaland said in a statement: “Then he can stay there for three or four years at the most. For instance, he could be two and a half years in Germany, two and a half years in England, and then in Spain, Italy, and France, right? I suppose Erling wants to prove his ability in all leagues”.

    “We don’t know if that’s how it will go down, but I get the sense that he wants to see how he does in the other major leagues too”, he added.

    Alfie Haaland says his son is eager to prove his worth in every major league after previously doing so in Germany.

    Few clubs could afford to pay Erling Haaland’s reported weekly salary of around £400,000.

    Although he claimed he came to Manchester City for the money, the Norwegian hit man insisted he was not motivated by greed.

    After Dortmund’s 2021 Champions League encounter against the English team, (Manchester City) Erling Haaland said that several Manchester City players urged him to join the side.

    “After that game, I think 15 people suggested I should come,” Erling Haaland revealed. “Jones Stones and Ruben Dias and, Gundogan, and Phil Foden and De Bruyne…” 

    It was said that several other European powerhouses were interested in signing the Norwegian international, but it was Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who ultimately signed the striker.

    After coming to terms with Haaland on a personal level, Premier League winner Manchester City exercised a €60 million (£51.2 million) release clause in Haaland’s contract with Borussia Dortmund last season.
