Alexis Sanchez states mission at Inter Milan after signing permanent deal from Manchester United

Alexis Sanchez has said that he is very happy to leave Manchester United after signing a three year deal with Inter Milan.

The Chilean had joined the Nerazurri on a season long loan before making the deal permanent.

Sanchez, who stated that he is hungry to win something will go down as one of the worst transfers in Manchester United’s history. He was purchased from Arsenal for €34m in January 2018 and paid a huge salary.

Now that he is an Inter player, the Red Devils have saved 10 million pounds which was his annual salary at the club after canceling his contract that has one year remaining on it by mutual consent.

“Hello there Inter fans. I am very, very happy to be staying here with you,” said Sanchez in a video message posted on his Instagram page.

Why is Alexis Sanchez happy to stay at Inter?

Despite having an injury-hit season with the Nerazzurri, Sanchez says he had the desire to stay at the club.

“I think that I had this desire to stay here because I have found a family, in the staff and everyone who is eager to fight and win something for this club.

“I am hungry and want to win something, so that is why I am so happy to be here, with you, to win something.”

Inter during the week confirm the signing of Sanchez until June 2023 in a statement.

“FC Internazionale Milano announce that Alexis Sanchez has joined the Nerazzurri on a free transfer. The Chilean forward has signed a permanent contract with the Club until 30 June 2023,” a statement on the website of the Nerazzurri reads.

The coach, Antonio Conte had during an interview described the deal as a good business for the club.

Sanchez arrived Milan on loan from Manchester United last summer. Due to injury, he was restricted to 22 league games, but scored four goals and created nine assists.

Recall that Sanchez already had an experience in the Serie A with Udinese before being signed by Barcelona.

The 31-year-old signed as a free agent due to the termination of his contract with the Red Devils by mutual consent.

So, getting Sanchez on a free deal is a huge plus for the Serie A giant. It is hoped that he will repay the cliub’s faith in his during his second stint in Italy.
