Alejandro Garnacho broke into Manchester United first team in the club’s 3-0 Europa League win over Sheriff Tiraspol.

He was started by Erik Ten Hag alongside former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo and former Ajax winger Antony in the attack.

The 18-year-old was the first of the club’s 2022 FA Youth Cup-winning side that broke into Manchester United first team starting XI.

It was a clinical display by the Argentina youth team player. He sparkled in his debut, terrorizing Sheriff Tiraspol’s defense, winning duels and creating enough momentum for the Red Devils’ attack.

Alejandro Garnacho was on top of his game throughout the encounter and proved why he earned the trust and backing of Erik Ten Hag to make his first senior appearance for the club.

The teenage prospect had followed up his brilliant debut for the club with a series of masterclass performances for Manchester United. In his 23 appearances for the club so far, he has bagged 3 goals and five assists.

Manchester United were intent on keeping the promising Argentina youth player and had been on contract extension talks with his representatives since last year.

His previous Manchester United contract was set to expire after eighteen months and talks between the two parties hovered around the length of his new contract and wage cap.
