Saudi club Al-Ahli have signed English forward Ivan Toney from Premier League Club, Brentford.
The Saudi Pro League side have been in a long-running pursuit of the 28-year-old to boost their attacking options as they head into the 2024-25 Saudi Pro League season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ivan Toney’s transfer to Al-Ahli has been done and dusted. The Saudi club agreed to £40m transfer fee. Toney has reportedly completed his medical and will be unveiled as new Al-Ahli player.
The former Peterborough forward will become the second high-profile Premier League forward that has signed for Al-Ahli after Brazilian forward and former Liverpool star Roberto Firmino joined the club last summer.
He has penned down a three-year contract with the club till 2027. The move marks the end of his impressive four-year career with Brentford which began in the English second-tier in 2019-20 season.
The 28-year-old reached the peaks of his Brentford career in the 2022-23 season when he netted a record 20 Premier League goals for the Bees.

He started off playing football with Northampton Town – a club he represented at the senior level in the year 2012 at the tender age of 16.
