Italian giant, AC Milan has set another milestone as the only club in Serie A history to score in twenty away matches in the Italian league against Bologna.

The record was set when Croatia’s forward Ante Rebic broke the deadlock for the Rossoneri in the 26th minute of the tie, coming back to winning ways after falling to Atalanta and Inter Milan.

Two goals were all AC Milan got to conquer Bologna, courtesy of Rebic opener plus a 55th minute Franck Kessie goal from the penalty spot, though Milan could not feel Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s penalty miss-which could have to be an opener.

Unfortunately, the Bologna’s Andrea Poli goal at the 81st minute could not redeem the deficit posed on Sinisa Mihajlovic’s lads- who are in the 13th position.

However, Mihajlivic said his team fought well with league leaders, but they fell for mistakes from set-pieces which were very costly for the side.

“I don’t think it’s a deserved defeat, we built through the game and they scored on two penalties. All long balls on Ibra, us with the game. If we had Ibra it would have ended 3-0.” He said

The previous record set by AC Milan placed the club on 19 games on a straight win.

Milan, with the win against Bologna, is two points leading Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan. They are expected to extend their winning spree when they face Crotone on February 7.
