Arsenal celebrated their win over Wolves if they had “won the league,” according to Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves.
After Gabriel Martinelli was sent off after 69 minutes, the Gunners hung on to win 1-0 over the West Midlands outfit.
Arsenal won for the first time in 2022, moving them up to fifth place in the Premier League.
“We watched how they celebrated their victory, and it indicates the level we’re at,” remarked Portugal’s Neves.
“I haven’t seen Arsenal celebrate like this in a decade – it was as if they had won the league.”

Red Card Issue
Martin Keown, an Arsenal veteran, has slammed referee Michael Oliver for sending off Gabriel Martinelli against Wolves for two infringements in the same passage of play.
Oliver’s choice was regarded by Keown as “pedantic.”
Martinelli pulled Chiquinho over in the space of five seconds, attempting to prevent Wolves from getting a quick throw in.
The Brazilian attacker appeared to expect to be cautioned, but was taken aback when Oliver issued him two yellow and then a red card.
“I felt it was quite rough on the player, they are going to be without him for a really important game,” Keown remarked after the game on BT Sport.
“They saw it through and it didn’t matter in the end, but I thought the referee was being very pedantic.”
“Perhaps we’ll see this all around the country.” It might be a new directive. It almost ruined the game for Arsenal, but it didn’t matter in the end. Arsenal has a fantastic three points.”
