Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford has insisted that he is happy at Manchester United and under coach Ralf Rangnick contrary to speculations that there was infighting at the club.

Since coach Rangnick arrived at Manchester United, there has been speculation that some footballers are finding it difficult to adapt to his high pressing and 4-2-2-2 formation. Due to this and the poor run of form under the German coach, there are reports that there was unrest between players and staff at the club.

The reports about the unrest at Old Trafford escalated after Manchester United suffered their first defeat under coach Rangnick. The 1-0 defeat at the hands of Wolves on Monday pushed Manchester United farther away from their quest of breaking into the top four.

Despite the speculation about the unrest at the club, Marcus Rashford, who has scored just three goals this season, doesn’t see any problem with the approach of the Manchester United coach.

Ahead of the club’s FA Cup third-round game against Aston Villa scheduled to kick off at 20:55 on January 10, Marcus Rashford took to Twitter to stress that he respects the club’s tactician and is looking forward to improving his game under the German coach.

However, the 24-year-old English winger added that he is disappointed with the club’s recent performances and his own performance at the club so far this season.

Marcus Rashford tweeted: “We’ve all been disappointed with recent performances and we’ve been disappointed with the news coverage questioning our commitment to not only the manager and the coaching staff but the club.

“I have endless respect for both and I’m looking forward to bettering my game under the staff at Manchester United.

“I’m not sulking, I’m not unhappy. Am I disappointed in some of my recent performances? Of course, I am – I’m my own biggest critic.

“It’s been a tough start but I’m determined to prove my worth. My dedication and my desire to be here should never be in question. I love this club.”

While reacting to reports about the unrest at Manchester United, coach Ralf Rangnick noted that the squad are trying to embrace his ideology.

“They are at least trying, I am sure that they are listening”, coach Rangnick said during the pre-match press conference ahead of the FA Cup game between his team and Aston Villa.

“Well, I mean this is not only an issue with a club like Manchester United,” he added.

“If you have that many players and 10 outfield players can play and three being substituted, then, of course, you have quite a several players – in our case 12, 13, 14 players who don’t even play, or not even being in the squad.

“Then those players are not happy about that situation. It’s obvious, it’s clear.

“I tend to explain to players every two or three weeks why they are not playing but obviously I cannot do that every game and that is an issue in our team as well as in other clubs.”
