  • Man of the match – Saka
  • Saka picked up an injury and left the match

Arsenal star player Bukayo Saka was injured during the match against Newcastle today and that’s a big blow for Arsenal. Saka has been exceptional for Arsenal and he is basically the only reason why the club’s boss Mikel Arteta still has a job.

He started the game today and his performance was outstanding as usual, he created a lot of chances for Arsenal but Aubameyang was very wasteful in front of the goal. Saka took the matter into his own hands and scored the first goal for Arsenal in the second half, shortly after, he left the game injured and this is bad for Arsenal. Arsenal will face Manchester United on December 2nd, 2021 and it will be a big blow to have to play against Cristiano Ronaldo, De Gea without Bukayo Saka.

A few minutes after that, Bukayo Saka left the game early due to an injury.

Saka was injured in the 63:52 minute into the match, he was replaced by Gabriel Martinelli in the 65:25 minute of the match and Martinelli scored right away to make it 2-0. An instant impact from Gabriel Martinelli against Newcastle.

Arsenal won the match 2 – 0, as result, Newcastle United remains winless in 13 matches and may be relegated this season.

Bukayo Saka’s injury update:

He said: ‘It was an action where he said he felt something and he said he wasn’t comfortable to continue and we will have to assess him tomorrow and probably scan him and see if there is any injury there.

‘He felt something muscular, let’s see what it is.’

‘We had to be patient,’ said Saka after the game. ‘They defended really well and made it difficult for us in the first-half.

‘The boss told us at half-time; don’t let them frustrate us & I think we listened to that. We got the goals & we could’ve got more in the end.’

‘We go game by game,’ said Arteta when asked if his side were genuine challengers for the top four. ‘After the defeat at Anfield you see things in a different perspective maybe.

‘We’ve been on a good run and we need to keep going. Let’s see where it takes us. Now we need to analyze this game and start to prepare the game against United as quickly as possible because we don’t have many days.’
