Hopper HQ analyzed internal and publicly available data to reveal a list of the highest-paid celebrities and influencers on Instagram.
Some of the parameters the company used to arrive at their annual ranking include average engagement, how often they post, industry variables, and the number of followers.

Cristiano Ronaldo is the most followed human being on Instagram. He currently has over 308 million followers on the social media platform.
The 36-year-old Juventus forward who has won 5 Ballon d’Or, is seen as one of the most influential humans on earth. Recall that he recently made headlines when he removed two bottles of Coca-Cola at a press conference before Portugal’s Euro 2020 opener against Hungary. The action made the Soda-making company lose $4 billion in the value of its shares.
According to Hopper HQ, the estimated cost for an Instagram post by Ronaldo had increased by 54 percent. Currently, Ronaldo can charge advertisers $1.6 million per post on his Instagram account.
Aside from the Portuguese football icon, no sportsman is in the top five of the ranking. Cristiano Ronaldo is ahead of second-placed Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, a wrestler-turned-actor.
The American actor is the second most followed individual on Instagram behind Ronaldo. The Fast and Furious star has over 250 million Instagram followers.
Hence, he can charge $1.52 million per post. He is above pop star Ariana Grande who has 247 million followers and can charge $1.51 million per post.
As for Lionel Messi, the career rival of Cristiano Ronaldo, the Argentine football star is seventh on the list with 224 million followers. He can charge up to $1.1 million per post.
