Juventus are reportedly set to make Manchester United a deal they cannot reject. The Serie A giants are said to be getting ready to offer United £125m along with Aaron Ramsey and Adrien Rabiot in exchange for Paul Pogba. The deal is said to be in the talking stages at the moment but will see the club’s exchange over the summer. The United player was looking for a move during the January transfer window but due to injury will have to settle for a summer move.
The France international has been rumored to be leaving Old Trafford for some time now with the chances more likely now that an ankle injury has kept the midfielder away for some time. The United star hasn’t played a full 90 minutes of football since September 2019.
The 26-year-old and some of his old teammates in Juventus have also reportedly been in constant contact over his potential move. Juventus stars Paulo Dybala and Juan Cuadrado are still in constant contact with Manchester United midfielder. With Pogba, considering a move back to his former club especially since Sarri has reformed the squad.
Ramsey and Rabiot joined Juventus last summer from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain respectively. Sarri is said to want to get rid of both as neither has been able to secure a starting Xl on Sarri’s squad. Ramsey who experienced an injury during his first season at Italy is reportedly available for transfer.
But if Juventus has hopes of securing Pogba they will have to act fast as La Liga giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly interested in the midfielder as well. Controversial and United’s least favorite agent, Mino Raiola has confirmed talks with Juve chief.
“He’d like to return, as Italy is like a second home for him. I talk about many things with [Pavel] Nedved: Yes, including Paul,” he said. “The cost of the operation, competition from Real Madrid, PSG, and Bayern. Paul wants to play at the best level but he can’t escape by Manchester United if they are in a difficult situation” Raiola said.
United are currently in ninth place with 35 points. It is uncertain if Pogba will return in time for their Premier League clash against Chelsea on Monday, February 17. United are six points adrift of Frank Lampard’s men.
