Arsenal outcast, Mesut Ozil has suggested what Germany needs to do in shoring up its leaky defense that conceded six unreplied goals last night against Spain in the UEFA Nations League.

What’s suprising is that two of Spain’s goals were from headers, which is unlike Germany to conceded headed goals having been unbeaten in 2020.

Joachim Low decided not to recall Boateng into the team as he continues to prepare the team for the future. But Ozil felt the 32-year-old would have coordinated the backline that were manned by his fellow teammate, Niklas Süle and Matthias Ginter.
With this kind of performance from Low’s men, after elimination from the 2018 World Cup in the group stages, it suggests he has significant work to do before next year’s rearranged European Championship.
Despite the result, Low expressed confidence and trust in his players.
“Today we saw that we are not as far ahead in our development as we had thought and expected after the last games,” he said.
