Manchester United have announced Ruben Amorim as the club’s new manager, replacing former boss Erik ten Hag.

He will take on Ipswich Town in the Premier League in his first game as United manager on November 24, 2024, before hosting Bodo Glimt in the Europa League on November 28, 2024.

Amorim will become the 7th Manchester United manager in the post-Ferguson era. United have struggled to return to top-level performance since Ferguson exited the reins as the club’s manager in 2013.

From David Moyes, Louis van Gaal, Jose Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ralf Rangnick, and Erik ten Hag, the club has continued to struggle for results in the post-Ferguson era.

Finishing in the top four in the Premier League has now been a rarity and a big challenge for the club. They have also struggled with years of trophy drought, which was broken by Jose Mourinho and Erik ten Hag. Under Ruben Amorim, the club are hopeful of turning a new corner.
