MARCA reported that approximately 20 workers were involved in a dispute over a discrepancy, which escalated into a physical altercation around 2:30 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, and became violent.

Several members of Laporta’s Board are still hoping to make a return in December, but those in charge believe it will be more feasible for them to do so in February or March 2025.
In anticipation of this, the Catalan club has requested BSM, the company overseeing the Olympic Stadium, to extend their contract until March 31.
Upon reopening, the newly-built Camp Nou will initially have a reduced capacity of up to 65,000 spectators.
This is because renovations will continue until 2026, impacting the stadium’s full capacity.
Furthermore, the Espai Barça project, which includes the stadium’s renovation, is expected to be fully completed by 2026.
Overall, the full transition is scheduled for the 2026/27 season.
