Jurgen Klopp Secures a New Job At Red Bull And An Exit Plan to Become Germany National Team Manager in Future

Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has finally landed a job as the global head of soccer on a long-term contract with the Red Bull.

Klopp is expected to take up the job on January 1, 2025.

This role will require the intelligent manager to be in charge of the international network of all football clubs under the Red Bull.

The football clubs under Red Bull include Leipzig, Salzburg, and the New York Red Bulls.

In addition, he is required to advise those football clubs on coaching matters.

Klopp will also deal with those clubs’ playing patterns, development, and the transfer of players.

After he was appointed the new Global Head of Soccer, Klopp said, “After almost 25 years on the sidelines, I could not be more excited to get involved in a project like this.”

“The role may have changed, but my passion for football and the people who make the game what it is has not. By joining Red Bull at a global level, I want to develop, improve, and support the incredible football talent that we have at our disposal.”

“There are many ways that we can do this front using the elite knowledge and experience that Red Bull possesses to learn from other sports and other industries.”

“Together we can discover what is possible. I see my role primarily as a mentor for the coaches and management of the Red Bull clubs, but ultimately, I am one part of an organisation that is unique, innovative, and forward-looking. As I said, this could not excite me more.”

Klopp left his managerial duty as the coach of Liverpool after the end of the 2023–24 season.

The German had a successful tenure at the Kop, winning the Premier League, FA Cup, Carabao Cup, and Champions League.

Klopp has been enjoying a time off after his tenure at Liverpool.

In addition, he stated that he doesn’t have any interest in taking up a coaching role.

Klopp Plan To Exit Red Bull To Take Over The Managerial Duty At German National Team In Future

The former Liverpool manager negotiated an exit clause that would allow him be the next manager of the German national team before he became the Global Head of Soccer for the Red Bull

The manager can be a successor to the current Germany national team manager, Julian Nagelsmann, who remains a target for big European clubs. 

Nagelsmann’s contract with the Germany national team runs until 2026.
