Erling Haaland of Manchester City is four hat-tricks away from becoming the player with most Premier League hat-tricks
The Norwegian forward scored his 8th Premier League hat-trick in Manchester City’s 3-1 victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium. A 10th, 30th, and 83rd-minute goal ensured City cancelled out Ruben Dias’ own goal to secure victory.
Notably, Haaland’s hat-trick saw the player become the Premier League player with the most goals in the first three Premier League games with seven goals. He surpassed former Manchester City player Carlos Teves, who had six.
Also, it was a back-to-back hat-trick for Haaland. He scored three goals in City’s preceding fixture against Ipswich Town before the West Ham rout.
Footballers With Most Premier League Hat-tricks
Erling Haaland is likely to record another big milestone in his Premier League career if he continues on his current goal-scoring form. The 24-year-old is now fourth on the list of footballers with most EPL hat-tricks.
Former Manchester City star Sergio Aguero tops the list with the most EPL hat-tricks, having recorded 12 in his spell with Manchester City. He is followed by Alan Shearer, Robbie Fowler and then Erling Haaland.

Notably, Sergio Aguero etched his name into the Premier League and Manchester City record books with his impressive goal-scoring streak. The former Argentina international and former Barcelona forward made 390 appearances for City in all competitions, scoring 184 goals.
In the Premier League, he tallied 275 appearances and found the back of the net 184 times. Out of which, 12 have been hat-tricks.

Alan Shearer is another Premier League legend who left his mark on the goal-scoring leaderboard in the Premier League. The Newcastle-born football legend played 559 games in the English top flight, scoring 283 goals. His career peaked at Newcastle United where he made 303 Premier League appearances, scoring 148 goals. He recorded 11 Premier League hat-tricks, one less than Sergio Aguero’s.
Robbie Fowler Has Nine Premier League Hat-tricks
Robert Bernard Fowler is another Premier League icon who turned heads with his proficiency in the final third. In a 15-year professional career in elite football in England, Fowler is best known for his time at Liverpool.
At the Merseyside outfit, the legendary forward hit the peaks of his career, scoring 128 goals in 266 Premier League appearances. He also had spells with Leeds United, Manchester City, Cardiff City, and Blackburn Rovers before moving to Australia. Fowler recorded nine Premier League hat-tricks and is third on the ladder.

Erling Haaland is just two hat-tricks away from displacing Robert Fowler on the chart, four away from overtaking Alan Shearer, and five away from breaking Aguero’s record.
All the aforementioned English top-flight goal-scoring legends spent a decade and above in the league. Haaland is just into his third campaign with Manchester City and is surging up on the EPL hat-tricks ladder. It is more likely the Norwegian attacking sensation will break the record if he sticks to his current form.
