Everton have completed the signing of former Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic on a free transfer, according to reports.
Asmir Begovic To Everton
Begovic is expected to become the 5th signing of the summer for the Toffees, having already secured the services of Jake O’Brien, Iliman Ndiaye, Tim Iroegbunam, and Jesper Lindstrøm on loan from Everton.
Asmir Begovic has previously played for Everton, having represented the club between 2021 and 2023.
The 37-year-old made 10 appearances for the Merseyside-based club in his first stint at the side, keeping just 4 clean sheets.
Begovic was second-fiddle to Jordan Pickford during his first spell at Everton and all indicators are pointing towards him reprising the role at the side.
Asmir Begovic has played for several clubs in his career, including; AC Milan, Chelsea, Queens Park Rangers, Bournemouth, Stoke City, Ipswich Town, and Qarabag FK.
The Bosnian shot-stopper will become the 5th goalkeeper at Everton, as he will be joining the likes of William Crellin, Joao Virginia, Harry Tyrer, and Jordan Pickford in the department.
Begovic has made 451 club appearances thus far in his career, recording 128 clean sheets across all competitions.
Internationally, Asmir Begovic made 63 appearances for Bosnia and Herzegovina, keeping 26 clean sheets.
RC Lens Agree Deal To Sign Martin Satriano From Inter Milan

Reports indicate that the buy clause will be mandatory, although under certain conditions, with the deal already approved by the Nerazzurri.
Personal terms also agreed as Satriano is keen on joining RC Lens, to get consistent playing time.
Martin Satriano spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Ligue 1 Stade Brestois, making 52 appearances for the side, scoring 10 goals, and providing 4 assists across all competitions.

Burnley Interested In Signing Hannibal Mejbri From Manchester United
The Clarets have indicated their interest in acquiring Hannibal Mejbri on loan from Manchester United, with the deal expected to include a mandatory buy option.
According to reports, Manchester United and Burnley have begun talks over the potential transfer of Mejbri, however, a deal has not been agreed yet.
This is due to the terms of the deal not being in line with what was expected, but Burnley have made known their intention to get Hannibal Mejbri.
Mejbri is yet to fulfill his potential and break into the setup at Manchester United, with the intense competition for places at the side alongside the club’s lofty ambitions not aiding his development.
The Tunisian has been sent on loan to Birmingham and Sevilla to further develop his career.
However, Hannibal Mejbri is not yet at the level of Manchester United and it appears, he will have to ply his trade at Burnley in the 2024/25 season.
The 21-year-old has made 13 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 1 goal and providing no assists across all competitions.
