Stengs made his debut for Nice in a 4-0 league win over Bordeaux but would struggle for game time at the club. He was subsequently loaned to Belgian side Royal Antwerp.

At Antwerp, Stengs breathed life into his career, making 25 league appearances for the club, and scoring one goal.  The impressive loan spell saw him emerge as a top target for Dutch side Feyenoord, who signed him on a four-year contract in 2023.

The move saw the footballer return to his roots in the Netherlands. He recorded a successful debut campaign with the Dutch giants, making 29 Eredivisie appearances, and scoring six goals.
