The Blues have been a big mention in the race for Victor Osimehn but temporarily went cold due to Napoli’s £110 price tag on the player. Now, the Mail confirms the London outfit is fully in the race again, with talks ongoing.
Futballnews understands Chelsea are still not ready to meet Napoli’s £110 asking price for Osimhen but could leverage a suggested swap deal that would see their out-of-favor forward Romelu Lukaku move in the opposition direction.
Victor Osimhen is open to Chelsea’s move, with Napoli already dropping the player from their plan for the next campaign. There have been talks of a possible loan move, but Osimehn’s agent has confirmed he won’t be available for a loan deal unless it involves an ‘obligation to buy option’, not just a ‘buy-out option.’
Conor Gallagher transfer news update
Conor Gallagher is edging close to leaving Chelsea this summer. We gathered in our earlier report that the England star has finally agreed terms with Atletico Madrid for a move. However, final details of the deal have yet to be ascertained but the player is expected to complete a move to the La Liga outfit this week.
Gallagher turned down a two-year contract extension from Chelsea before being dropped from the squad’s plans by new manager Enzo Fernandez.

Newcastle United are close to completing their move for Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. The Magpies have reportedly stepped up proceedings to seal a deal with Crystal Palace for Guehi.
The Telegraph reports both sides could reach an agreement for Guehi this week in a potential deal worth over £60m.
Dani Olmo update
Dani Olmo is set to return to Leipzig ahead of the new campaign after his extended summer break due to 2024 Euros. However, it is understood the player wants a new challenge away from the Red Bull Arena.
