West Ham United Complete Signing Of Max Kilman From Wolves

West Ham United have completed the signing of Max Kilman from Wolverhampton Wanderers for a fee of €47.5 million.

Kilman has penned a seven-year deal with the Hammers, which runs until the summer of 2031.

Max Kilman is reunited with West Ham United boss Julen Lopetegui, who made him captain while managing the Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers apparently turned down the London Stadium side’s opening offer of €32 million but accepted an improved bid for the player they captured from National League side Maidenhead for about €47,000 in 2018.

The semi-professional side are also due to receive a 10% sell-on of €11 million from the transfer.

The 27-year-old added that he enjoyed working with Julen Lopetegui during his time at the Molineux and as such he is confident that he will continue to improve under the Spaniard’s management.

Kilman said: “As soon as I was aware of the interest from the club, it was an opportunity I was keen to pursue, so I couldn’t be more delighted to be here.

“I really enjoyed working with Julen during his time at Wolves. He’s a top-class coach and someone I learned a lot from, and I am confident I will continue to improve as a player under his management here.”

Max Kilman made 151 appearances for Wolverhampton Wanderers, scoring 3 goals and providing 3 assists in all competitions.

The Englishman is the third signing of West Ham United this summer, after the arrivals of goalkeeper Wes Foderingham and Brazilian winger Luis Guilherme.

Meanwhile, Kilman has also put out a farewell video on his X (formerly known as Twitter) showing highlights of his amazing defensive display.

He also captioned the post with appreciatory words, thanking everyone associated with Wolves alongside his teammates and supporters of the club.
