Hours after clinching their 15th Champions League trophy, Real Madrid are set to welcome highly-rated footballing sensation Kylian Mbappe into the fold.
In a report shared by Fabrizio Romano, Kylian Mbappe has signed Real Madrid’s contract with all now set for the player to be confirmed a Real Madrid player.
The report adds Mbappe and Real Madrid have signed all documents and papers pertaining to the deal and the player now set to be announced next week.
“Kylian Mbappé to Real Madrid, HERE WE GO! Every document has been signed, sealed, and completed.
“Real Madrid, set to announce Mbappé as new signing next week after winning the Champions League.
“Mbappé made his decision in February; he can now be considered a new Real player,” Fabrizio Romano says.
The completion of the deal came three months after Mbappe told PSG in February 2024 that he will leave the club.
Before then, the 25-year-old saw himself locked in a dragging contract faceoff with the club. While he wanted to leave, PSG insisted he wouldn’t be allowed to leave on a free transfer.
However, after weeks of dispute, the two parties finally settled for a truce. While terms of the truce weren’t made public, it is now evident that Mbappe did not concede on his decision to be allowed to leave this summer.
He took to social media to confirm his exit decision, thanking the club and the fans for their support.
Kylian Mbappe’s Real Madrid contract
As reported by The BBC, Mbappe has agreed and signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid till 2029. The report adds his estimated wage offer per season is £12.8m while his signing-in bonus is £128m. As per the agreement, the signing-on bonus will be paid for a period of five years.
The two parties have also agreed that the prolific forward will be entitled to a reasonable percentage of his image rights.
