Mario Balotelli’s ex-girlfriend Raffaella Fico has openly discussed her tumultuous relationship with the former Inter Milan star.
Despite enduring public betrayals, Fico admitted to forgiving Balotelli, attributing it to a deep love that overshadowed his wrongdoing.
In an interview with RAI Play, as reported by MARCA, Italian model Fico described Balotelli as “the great love” of her life, acknowledging the pain caused by his repeated betrayals.
She disclosed: “He cheated on me on more than one occasion, they were public betrayals, they could not even be hidden. I forgave him because I was very much in love. Balotelli was the great love” of my life.”
Recalling their first meeting at a disco, arranged by Balotelli’s sister whom Fico had met on ‘Celebrity Island,’ she recounted the romance that eventually led to her heartbreak.
The Italian model added: “I met Balotelli at the disco. I went there with his sister, whom I had met on ‘Celebrity Island’. His sister gave him my number, then we started talking, we went out together and at the end of the evening he pulled a bouquet of roses from the hood of the car.”
In the same interview, Rafaella Fico went on to discuss the child she had with Mario Balotelli and revealed that the footballer initially did not want to become a father.

Their daughter, Pia, was born on December 5, 2012, but Balotelli insisted on a paternity test before accepting any parental responsibilities.
In February 2014, Balotelli finally acknowledged paternity of his daughter Pia following a positive DNA test.
Fico added: “He didn’t want to be a father and asked me for a DNA test, maybe because he was too young, at the beginning he didn’t feel like being a father.”
