Thomas Tuchel has hinted at a possible return to the Premier League as he draws closer to the expiration of his spell as manager of Bayern Munich.

Tuchel’s future continues to elicit different conversations, with many wondering what could be his next managerial move.

The decision by Xavi Hernandez to remain at Barcelona, having initially opted to exit the club at the end of the season, has also been dangled in front of Thomas Tuchel.

However, the German tactician remains unwavering despite some sections of the fans signing petitions for him to stay put at Bayern Munich.

Thomas Tuchel’s stint in Bavaria has seen the Munich-based club lose the Bundesliga title for the first time in over a decade, after going on an 11-season run of winning the German top-flight title.

They could end the campaign trophyless for the first time since the 2011/12 season if they fail to progress into the final of the UEFA Champions League.

Thomas Tuchel Hints On Potential Return To The English Premier League

Speaking ahead of his side’s second-leg semi-final clash against Spanish giants Real Madrid, Tuchel touched on his future and a potential return to Chelsea could be on the horizon.

Thomas Tuchel indicated his love for the Premier League, whilst also expressing his affection towards Chelsea and England.

The 50-year-old said: “I’d rather not answer… but it is no secret that I loved it at Chelsea, I loved it in England and I loved it in the Premier League for sure.

“It was a very, very special time in England.”

The UEFA Champions League is the only and best shot for Tuchel at silverware this campaign, and just like he led Chelsea to the trophy in the 2020/21 season, he will also be aiming to do the same with Bayern Munich this term.

    Real Madrid Vs Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich head into the second leg at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday, May 8, 2024, after playing out a 2-2 draw with Real Madrid at the Allianz Arena in the first leg.

Leroy Sane and Harry Kane scored for the Bavarian giants, while Vinicius Jr netted a brace in the first leg for Los Blancos.

The encounter in Madrid is expected to be intense, with Bayern Munich believing that they could get one over Real Madrid, having last defeated the Spanish giants on April 17, 2012, by 1-0, which was enough to see them through to the final.

They lost the final to Chelsea but came back in the subsequent season to defeat Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium.

If they defeat Real Madrid, they will face Borussia Dortmund in the final, and at the same location where they played the final of the 2012/13 UEFA Champions League season.

Edin Terzic’s Dortmund saw off Paris Saint Germain in the other semi-final affair, defeating the Parisians 2-0 on aggregate, having won the two legs by 1-0.
