Manchester United legend and Premier League pundit Roy Keane was unimpressed with Man United’s performance against Coventry City in the FA Cup semifinal at Wembley.

In a game United were tipped to ease past the Championship side, it turned out to be a near-nightmare despite a promising start for the Red Devils.

Scott McTominay had given United the lead in the 23rd minute before Harry Maguire doubled it in the stoppage time of the first half.

In the 58th minute, Bruno Fernandes added to the tally and United were deservedly three goals up before Coventry clawed their charges back into the game and nearly pulled an incredible comeback.

A quick double by Simms and O’Hare in the 70th minute cut down the goal arrears before Wright’s stoppage-time spot-kick pegged back United to a dramatic 3-3 draw.

Shockingly, Coventry City nearly completed what would have been a stunning comeback when they scored late into extra time but VAR came to United’s rescue, chalking off the goal for offside.

United would go on to snatch victory through penalties but it was an overly disappointing outing for the Red Devils’ fans and club legends.

Roy Keane ripped into the team for the embarrassing performance against Coventry.

Speaking on punditry duties on TNT, the Man United legend said the team lacked leadership, character, and courage, and were playing as if they were a Championship club while Coventry City played more as a Premier League side.

”Whenever I see this United team I don’t like what I see. Talk about leadership and character, I don’t see that in this United team. My goodness, they rode their luck today.

“We’re having the same conversation every week with Man United, you don’t know what you’re going to get.

“They were playing as a Championship side while Coventry City played as a Premier League side.”

United scrapped past the spirited Coventry side, winning 4-3 on penalties to set up a derby FA Cup final against with Manchester City – a rematch of 2023 final.
