Bayern Munich has shown their annoyance with Liverpool and Manchester United for not meeting the asking price of midfielder, Thiago Alcantara.

The German club is reportedly asking for 30m Euros for the midfielder who has ten months left on his present contract and he is yet to sign an extension.

Thiago Alcantara may leave Bayern Munich this summer

Former Bayern president Uli Hoeness lambasted the English giants, accusing them of ‘blackmail’ in their pursuit of Alcantara, who has been strongly linked with a move to Liverpool. The Reds are favourites to sign him this summer because he wants to play under Jurgen Klopp. Unfortunately, they are yet to strike a deal for the Spaniard, while rivals United are also said to be interested.

Hoeness further accused either clubs of planning to sign him at a cheaper fee this summer having agreed on personal terms. This Hoeness described as underhand tactics to get the Spain international.

Bayern Munich not ready to losing Thiago Alcantara for free

Since Alcantara has refused to sign a new deal, it means that Bayern will have to quickly sell him off to get some funds from the transfer than lose him for free next summer.

Speaking with talkSPORT, German football expert Kevin Hatchard said the former Bayern chief’s outburst reflects the German giants’ annoyance that they’re about to lose one of their best players at his peak. The Bavarian club is not accustomed to this happening.

“Famously in Germany they actually laugh at the England for throwing money at every situation, so Bayern would be quite annoyed by this [Liverpool and United’s refusal to pay up].

“He also said that he feels Thiago has probably already agreed terms with Liverpool, he may well have agreed terms with Manchester United as well, from his point of view,” Hatchard said on Sunday’s Trans European Express.

All is yet to be heard on the future of Alcantara as this issue continues to linger ahead of the Bundesliga opener.

The Spaniard had said he never told anyone he intend leaving the Allianz Arena. This is another puzzle for the to stop after top hierarchy of the club has claimed that he wants a new challenge.
