Jude Bellingham, 20, has scored 13 goals in his first 13 games for the Spanish giants but he’s not the only goalscorer in his family – his father Mark Bellingham scored 700 goals during his active days.

With his massive form with Real Madrid, the former Dortmund midfielder took home the trophy for the best young player in world football at the 2023 Ballon d’Or.

Following the award, his dad took to social media to thank those involved in his son’s startling development so far.

Bellingham also came 18th on the list of Ballon d’Or nominees, one spot above his fellow Englishman and national teammate Harry Kane.

The award came just two days after Jude Bellingham showed his class in his first El Clasico match and produced a match-winning performance.

Jude Bellingham gave Carlo Ancelotti’s team a four-point lead over their opponents, FC Barcelona, with a spectacular equalizer in the second half and the winning goal in stoppage time.

He first scored a screamer into the back of the net before he scored the second one to ensure Madrid took all points in the game.

However, it turns out that the Madrid sensation is not the only goalscorer in his own house. Aside from Jude, there’s also a goalscoring machine – his father, former police officer Mark.

Majority of well-known international football players are elite customers of international football agencies, but Bellingham has his parents.

With almost 700 goals in 25 years as a non-League striker, Mark, the father of Jude Bellingham had earned a formidable reputation.

Once a fearsome player in various Midlands outposts for amateur football, Mark now commands the respect of the biggest names in the game worldwide along with his son Jude Bellingham.

But the story all began much more quietly, with Jude and his younger brother, Jobe watching their father score goals after goals while growing up.

In spells involving 20 or more clubs, Mark Bellingham eventually reached the 700 goals mark in his professional career.

Despite his reputation as a predator in the penalty area, most of his goals were actually from free kicks.
