Zlatan Ibrahimovic took out time in an interview with Piers Morgan to talk down on the manager who has been having issues handling some superstars at Old Trafford.

Erik ten Hag, 53, was praised by several pundits when he joined United but he has recently been under fire at the club due to inconsistent results.

The Dutchman has taken the club backward as the club under him has endured their worst start to the league season in 34 years.

United fans are no longer hiding their disgust for the manager as they booed the Dutchman off the pitch after losing to Crystal Palace at the weekend.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic played at Old Trafford in 2016 and understands what it means to coach one of the best clubs in England.

Manchester United identified Erik ten Hag as the manager that will oversee the rebuilding of the club after his impressive stint at Ajax.

However, the expectations at United are far greater than Ajax and Zlatan Ibrahimovic didn’t miss a chance to stress that amid United woes.

Ibrahimovic advised the Dutchman to adopt a different approach at Manchester United in an recent interview with TalkTV.

The Swedish football icon said he feels Ten hag has treated his United players in the same vein he treated his players at Ajax.

Speaking to TalkTV, Zlatan Ibrahimovic said: “Coming from Ajax to United as he did is a big difference — I have been in both clubs.”

Zlatan Ibrahimovic also went on to add: “you have a different kind of discipline. Ajax is a talented club. They have the best talents in the club. They don’t have big stars.”

“What is the experience of this coach? Young talents, he comes to United, it is a different mentality. The players there are supposed to be big stars. I don’t think you give the same treatment.”

Erik ten Hag is currently under fire at Manchester United after overseeing the club’s shambolic start to a Premier League season.

United lost to Crystal Palace on Saturday means the club have lost four of their opening seven league games for the first time in the Premier League era.

Ten Hag defended his players after they lost at the weekend before admitting his team needed to be better in the coming weeks.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic said all these in his interview with Piers Morgan on TalkTv where he also talked about the time Arsenal wanted to sign him.

Speaking on a proposed trial with the gunners in 2000, he said: ”I didn’t go to Arsenal. I don’t do trials. No, no, you don’t understand, I don’t do trials.”

“I am the best – f*ck the rest. When I say I am God, do you think I am joking or not? I am not joking,” he concluded.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic received an honorary black belt in taekwondo; he attended classes at the Malmö Taekwondo club Enighet (“Unity”) when he was still a child.

The striker is fluent in five languages: Swedish, Bosnian, English, Spanish and Italian.
