Serhou Guirassy, in his remarkable form, played a pivotal role in VfB Stuttgart’s victory over Darmstadt in the Bundesliga.
The 27-year-old Guinean striker now boasts an impressive tally of 10 goals in just five Bundesliga matches.
Surprisingly, Guirassy has beaten the likes of Harry Kane, Erling Haaland, and Kylian Mbappé to hold the title of Europe’s hottest striker.
During Friday evening’s match, September 22, the 27-year-old showcased his talent once again by netting two goals in a 3-1 win for Stuttgart.
Meanwhile, these goals marked his ninth and tenth of the season; an accomplishment unmatched by any player in Europe’s top leagues.
Serhou Guirassy tallies Robert Lewandowski’s goal record
In an astonishing similarity to Bundesliga legend Robert Lewandowski, Guirassy’s tenth goal placed him in the same league as the renowned striker.
Before Guirassy’s feat, Lewandowski was the sole player in Bundesliga to have reached ten goals in the first five games of a season.
Following his incredible feat against Darmstadt, Guirassy reveals the game wasn’t easy but he’s happy he was instrumental in his club’s victory.
He said: “I am happy that we have won.”
“It wasn’t an easy game, but we never gave up and, from my view, we deserved to win.”
“But what about the goals? “I am happy about my goals, but the success of the team is above everything. I am thankful for the support of my family, the fans, and everyone at VfB.”
Guirassy and Stuttgart’s success advance under the leadership of Sebastian Hoeneß
Even before this season, Guirassy demonstrated his effectiveness as a striker in the Bundesliga under Hoeneß’s guidance.
Stuttgart experienced an incredible run last season under the leadership of Sebastian Hoeneß.
The team successfully avoided relegation with a comprehensive 6-1 aggregate victory over 2.Bundesliga team Hamburger SV in the relegation playoffs.
During the final eight games of the regular season, Guirassy impressively scored eight goals, and he added another goal during the playoffs against HSV.
Since Hoeneß took charge, Stuttgart has played 18 games, winning 11, drawing four, and losing only three.
Within this period, Guirassy has scored an impressive 16 goals, accounting for over a third of Stuttgart’s total goals under Hoeneß.
With ten goals already in his tally this season, it appears to be only a matter of time before the Guinean breaks his record and surpasses 11 goals in a single league season.

He is a professional footballer who currently plays as a forward for VfB Stuttgart in the Bundesliga.

Guirassy’s amazing stats
Growing up in Arles to Guinean parents, Guirassy made a name for himself early in his career by impressing with his impressive goal-scoring abilities at USM Montargis and later at J3 Amilly.
Despite facing disappointment during a trial at Auxerre, Guirassy was given an opportunity by Laval and became their youngest-ever professional player at the age of 17.
Known for his sharp eye for goal and willingness to assist his teammates, the 6’2″ striker caught the attention of the French national team and received call-ups for their youth squads.
His successful progression through Laval’s ranks resulted in seven goals in 38 matches over two seasons, leading to a transfer to Lille in the French top division.
Guirassy’s arrival in the Bundesliga with Cologne came after a successful loan spell at Auxerre, where he scored eight goals in 16 second-division games during the 2015/16 campaign.
Despite a challenging start at Cologne, he scored his first goal in the German top flight against Bayer Leverkusen on October 28, 2017, under coach Peter Stöger.
Despite being the team’s top scorer that season, Guirassy couldn’t prevent Cologne from being relegated.
He then returned to France, playing for Amiens and Rennes, where he continued to impress and even scored Rennes’ first-ever goal in the Champions League.
As a result, Stuttgart secured the loan signing of the Guinea international for the 2022/23 season.
Guirassy completed a permanent transfer to the MHP Arena after an impressive performance, scoring 11 Bundesliga goals and securing an additional strike in the relegation/promotion play-off victory against Hamburg.
The start of the 2023/24 season saw Guirassy soaring to new heights, a first for any player in the club’s history.
He netted eight goals with eight shots on target in his first four top-flight games for Die Roten.
Continuing his impressive run, he added two more goals in the 3-1 win against Darmstadt on Matchday 5, making it a total of 10 goals in just five games and securing the top spot on the scoring chart.
