Real Madrid reached a milestone as they became the first sports organization in the world to amass 500 million followers on social media.

Real Madrid have also been known to break records while other teams follow, and with this latest feat, they have set a new one.

This latest update is coming after data from the analytical tool Blinkfire revealed that the club is the first sports organization in the world to reach such numbers.

The Spanish giants currently have 37 different accounts for all of its divisions including football, basketball, women’s football, and youth football.

The club also has affiliates (Bernabéu, Madridistas), in 7 languages which include Spanish, English, Arabic, French, Portuguese, Japanese, and Chinese.

These accounts run by Real Madrid help the club to always provide information and content to all communities where they need it and in their own language.

Sharing the news, Real Madrid posted on all their social media account celebrating the milestone in different languages.

However, on their official account, they said: “Thanks to you, we are the FIRST sports organization to break the 500m follower mark on social media!”

Members and Madridistas can access all the team’s audiovisual and interactive material on Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, X (Twitter), Tiktok, YouTube, Line, Snapchat, Twitch, LinkedIn, Weibo, WeChat, Toutiao, Douyin, and BiliBili.

The Spanish giants previously announced in July 2023 that it generated 3 billion interactions in one season for its first team account.

Real Madrid have shown its dominance in the digital environment with this latest achievement.

Real Madrid also has the most visited football club website in the world with an average of 8.9 million visits per month.

The club also launched its new streaming platform, RM Play, in June 2023.

The Spanish team, who have won the Champions League a record 14 times, has a presence on 15 social media networks.
