Richarlison has been linked with a move away from Tottenham Hotspur following his disastrous English Premier League campaign.

Saudi Pro League outfit Al Ittihad have tried to secure the signature of the Brazilian forward after missing out on Liverpool striker Mohammed Salah.

The Middle East club were desperate to sign the Egyptian captain and had a 150 million pounds bid rejected by the Reds before the Saudi transfer window closed on Thursday, 8th of September.

It was believed Al Ittihad were ready to considerably improve their offer for the 31-year-old to an eye-catching 215 million pounds but the former Chelsea forward ended up staying with Liverpool.

It is expected that Al-Ittihad will try again when the Saudi transfer window reopens to sign Salah.

Salah is widely considered one of the top players in the world, but Liverpool is determined that they will not let him leave Anfield for any amount of money.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher wanted Salah to depart Liverpool but indicated that next summer is the best time for the Egyptian to try a new challenge away from Anfield.

According to reports, it has been revealed that Al Ittihad are plotting a move to bring in Richarlison from Tottenham after failing to secure Mo Salah’s acquisition.

The Brazilian striker has massively struggled since his transfer to North London during the summer of 2022.

Richarlison has been involved in just eight goals in 40 appearances in the Premier League.

He was Al Ittihad’s backup plan as it became evident that a deal for Salah would be challenging.

Richarlison was caught crying on Brazil’s bench after the team’s World Cup qualifying match with Bolivia on Friday night.

Despite his dwindling form, Al-Ittihad attempted to recruit the former Everton star through negotiators, but they were unable to do so before the Saudi club’s transfer window closed.

Richarlison

And despite Harry Kane’s move from north London to Bayern Munich, Richarlison appears to have lost his starting berth in the Premier League after only four games.

Ange Postecoglou, manager of the Spurs, has reportedly opted to put Son Heung-Min, a winger, as a central forward.

After failing to score in three consecutive games, Richarlison was benched for the match against Burnley, and in his debut start in the position, Son scored a hat trick.

What’s next for Richarlison?

The former Everton frontman will be looking forward to getting back to the North London club’s starting XI when they lock horns against Sheffield United on Saturday, 16th of September.

Richarlison has to improve his game or face the likelihood of being drop off the starting lineup by Tottenham new manager Ange Postecoglou.

The North London club have gotten to a brilliant start under Postecoglou and have enough attacking options to replace the Brazil forward if his dwindling form continues.
