Kylian Mbappe of Paris Saint Germain has agreed to let go of a loyalty bonus at the French club side reportedly worth 100 million euros.
The former AS Monaco striker is set to receive a loyalty bonus in August for not departing from the club since he has put pen to paper on a new deal in May 2022.
The French National team captain joined the French powerhouse first on loan in 2017 before he made a permanent move to the club on the 1st of July, 2018, in a deal worth 180 million euros.
Therefore, the contract he signed with Paris Saint Germain in 2022 will expire in the summer of 2024 and comes with an option to extend the deal.
However, during the just-concluded summer transfer window, Kylain Mbappe informed PSG that he wouldn’t be signing the one-season contract extension, a notification that caused a serious deal battle between the French powerhouse and the 24-year-old Frenchman.
PSG who don’t want to lose him for free next summer chose to put him up for sale during the summer transfer window due to the development, but no top European club side was able to make a concrete move for the red-hot forward.
Only the Middle East club side Al Hilal made an eye-catching offer worth 300 million euros for the Frenchman. meanwhile, PSG accepted the bid but Kylian Mbappe whose dream is to unite with Real Madrid declined to negotiate with the Saudi Arabia outfit.
Following this, PSG kicked the 2018 World Cup winner out of the team that participated in the pre-season matches and also missed the club’s league opener of the season.
However, all issues were solved after the club’s president Nasir Al Khilafi had a one-on-one meeting with the 24-year-old forward and has been put back into the squad but he’s yet to sign a contract extension.
Kylian Mbappe has demonstrated his affection for football since joining the team by scoring five league goals in three matches following the yet-to-be-fully-resolved contract tussle.
According to the French media outlet, L’Équipe stated that the club’s president was convinced to permit Kylian Mbappe to return to the team after the Frenchman agreed to forgo his royalty bonus, even though it is a condition of his recent contract.
This arrangement is informal and is considered a gentlemen’s agreement between Mbappe and Al-Khelaifi, thus, it can be invalidated if circumstances in the prolonged transfer discussion shift to Mbappe’s disadvantage.
Endrick Wants To Share The Pitch With Mbappe And Vini Jr.
Endrick who is on the verge of joining Real Madrid has claimed that he wishes to play alongside Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr.
Real Madrid have secured the acquisition of Endrick from Palmeiras in a deal worth 60 million euros including add-ons.
The contract was declared openly in December 2022 and the promising striker will be making the move to Spain in the summer of 2024, once he turns 18 years old.
The teenager’s arrival at the Santiago Bernabeu could very well connect with Mbappe, whose contract ends next summer with PSG.
The 17-year-old Brazilian wonderkid vocalized praises of Mbappe in his recent interview, calling the Frenchman “cut above the rest”, before indicating his feeling to share the pitch with the 24-year-old as well as Real Madrid winger Vinicius Jr.
Speaking with reporters, Endrick said: “He’s a cracking player, a cut above the rest. He’s decisive, spectacular, super-fast and he dribbles better now”.
He added; “Playing with both Vinis and Mbappe would be wonderful. They’re both spectacular and I’d be really happy to play with such great players”.
Kylian Mbappe was strongly linked with a move to Real Madrid all summer but no deal materialized and the Frenchman stayed put at PSG.
Despite the French champions’ attempts to persuade him to sign a new contract, at the time of writing, Mbappe is not planning to put pen to paper.
If the 24-year-old didn’t sign until the summer of 2024, Real Madrid would be the favorite to sign him on a free transfer.
It’s only a matter of time before Kylian Mbappe arrives at the Santiago Bernabeu next summer alongside Endrick.
