Saudi giants, Al Ittihad, are not ready to back off their push to sign Mohamed Salah before Saudi transfer window closes.

Sources close to the club have confirmed the Saudi Pro League champions have ramped up their attempt to sign Mohamed Salah.

The transfer window for the Premier League and other top leagues in Europe has been slammed shut but Saudi League have until 7 September 2023 to wrap up their transfer activities.

The general deadline as ordered by FIFA for summation of all transfer activities is September 20 with domestic leagues setting their individual deadline within the FIFA deadline.

Liverpool could be on the receiving end of the varying transfer deadline for different leagues as their key man, Salah, is still under the radar of Saudi giants, Al Ittihad.

Coming face-to-face with the prospects of losing Salah this summer, Jurgen Klopp voiced out his concern on defects of varying transfer deadlines for different leagues across FIFA member associations.

A deal with Liverpool for Salah could unsettle the club’s squad plan with no avenue for a replacement as the Premier League transfer window has closed.

Klopp has been unyielding on his stand on Mohamed Salah, insisting the Egyptian ace is focused on his career with Liverpool and the club are neither ready to entertain talks for the player.

Now, Liverpool could be set for a transfer shocker as Al Ittihad intensify efforts to sign Salah and have only two days to do so.

According to the Sun, Al Ittihad representatives have flown into Merseyside for talks with Liverpool for the player.

We reported earlier, Al Ittihad had made a verbal offer of £150m for Mohamed Salah and had met with Salah’s representatives for a deal.

A £150m offer for Mohamed Salah was a descent offer for a player who is currently 33-year-old but Futballnews understands Liverpool are not ready to entertain offers for Salah.

Now, the Saudi side have made their first push to enter into talks with Liverpool for the player with a record offer on the table.

According to reports, Al Ittihad’s latest offer to Liverpool for Mohamed Salah is £215m. £170m which will be paid upfront while £45m will be paid as add-ons.

Apart from the huge offer tabled to Liverpool for the player, Al Ittihad have juicy personal terms for Salah. They are ready to make Salah the highest-paid footballer in Saudi Arabia, overtaking the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Neymar.

Further details of the offer includes ambassadorial role with Saudi companies, who will be ready to fork out a combined sum of £18m for the player.

He has also been promised a larger share of the his shirt sales, including other luxury perks should he agree to the move.

Salah is yet to make his stand on Al Ittihad’s interest known with sources claiming he has been tempted by the offer.

Liverpool have maintained a ‘no sale’ decision on Salah but it is still unclear whether they will reverse their stand and accept the record offer on the table.

Meanwhile, Mohamed Salah’s silence has further heightened speculations he could be ready to move to Al Ittihad.

Salah has two years remaining in his Liverpool contract. His exit could rattle Jurgen Klopp’s squad plans but the club could be forced to part ways with the player with the tempting offer on the table.
