Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has ruled out signing French winger Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Ancelotti revealed this in a press conference earlier today, August 24, 2023. While he was asked questions about Real Madrid signing Mbappe this summer, the Italian manager said, “No, I rule it out 100%. I think our squad is closed, and our players are thinking about our season.”
Real Madrid have signed Jude Bellingham, Joselu, Fran Garcia, Brahim Diaz, Arda Guler, and Kepa Arrizabalaga on loan from Chelsea this summer for £103 million.
The French star has refused to sign a new deal with French giant Paris Saint-Germain, prompting speculation that he could be joining Real Madrid.
The club also believed that he had agreed to move to Real Madrid as a free agent.
Paris Saint-Germain were believed to be ready to sell the player instead of losing him for free when his contract ends in June 2024.
The player spent the pre-season period training away from the first team amid a contract issue with the club.
The French giant also had an agreement to sell the winger to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal for a world record fee of £259 million.
However, the winger failed to negotiate with the Saudi Arabian team even though they offered him £700 million.
He has return to first-team training at the French side scoring in Paris Saint-Germain’s second match against Toulouse on August 19, 2023.
