Paris Saint-Germain President Nasser Al-Khelaifi smiled after meeting French winger Kylian Mbappe on the training ground on August 13, 2023.

It was reported that the winger is making a U-turn on his future as he is ready to sign a new deal to stay at the club beyond 2024.

After the agreement between the two parties, Paris Saint-Germain released a statement saying

Following very constructive and positive talks between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG-Lorient match, the player has been reintegrated into first-team training this morning.”

Skysports news transfer expert Kaveh Solhekol tweeted, “Kylian Mbappe will stay and play for PSG this season. Big win for PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi after standoff with his star player.”

“Mbappe is now expected to extend his PSG contract to 2025. It means he can’t move to Real Madrid for nothing next summer.”

Al-Khelaifi told the PSG squad this morning, “Kylian Mbappe is committed to PSG. Kylian is back”.

It was previously claimed that the player had agreed personal terms with Real Madrid and was looking forward to forcing a move to the Spanish capital.

Kylian Mbappe’s next move on his future had dominated the transfer window while Paris Saint-Germain were trying everything possible to make sure he doesn’t leave for free.

The attacker wanted to stay at the club until 2024 before making a decision on where to move. He was included among the players who were not needed at the club and was forced to train alone on Paris Saint-Germain’s new training ground.

In the event of forcing him out of Paris Saint-Germain, the club accepted an offer of £259 million from Al-Hilal, but the attacker was not interested in joining the club even though they offered him £700 million just for a season.
