Harry Kane to Bayern Munich move is facing an imminent risk of collapse as Tottenham maintained strong stand on the negotiation table

Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur have been in talks for Harry Kane as the Bundesliga giants ramp up attempts to land the prolific forward this summer.

So far, Futballnews learnt there is no greenlight between both parties although talks have continued.

According to Skysports, Harry Kane is ready for formal talks with Bayern Munich to join the Bundesliga side but the club have to weather the hardline negotiation stance by Daniel Levy.

With Harry Kane obviously not signing a new deal with only one year remaining in his contract, it is pretty clear Tottenham risk losing him on a free transfer or selling him this summer.

Embattled Tottenham owner, Joe Lewis, who is on the radar of US authorities for alleged “insider trading scandal,” has told Daniel Levy to sell Harry Kane if the England star is not ready to put pen to paper for a new contract.

Premier League rivals such as Manchester United and Chelsea, including French Ligue 1 giants PSG have been linked to Kane but it appears the England all-time top-scorer is heading away from the Premier League for a new chapter in German Bundesliga.

Bayern Munich have continued in their pursuit of the striker. They are the first and only club to submit a bid for the player. Two bids from the Bundesliga champions have been rejected so far but the club are not backing off.

The Bavarians hold Harry Kane as a top priority this summer as they continue their search for a top striker to replace Robert Lewandwoski.

Since Lewandwoski left Allianz Arena to Camp Nou, the Bavarians have not found his replacement. £35million-signing from Liverpool, Sadio Mane was primed to fit into Lewandowski’s shoes but has struggled for form a year into his three-year contract and has left the club to Al Nassr in Saudi Arabia.

Harry Kane will be expected to step into the vacuum created by Robert Lewandowski and pilot the club’s attack next summer hence Tottenham’s unyielding stand has not dissuaded the Bundesliga giants.

We reported earlier that Bayern Munich officials have flown into London for intensive talks and negotiations for Harry Kane and are hoping to seal a deal with Tottenham Hotspur for the player as soon as possible.

An update of the meeting between the two parties have revealed an agreement is yet to be reached with the deal facing risk of imminent collapse.

Harry Kane

Bayern Munich are reportedly miles away from meeting Tottenham’s asking price for Harry Kane.

After having two bids rejected, it is understood Bayern Munich had a verbal third proposal of £77.1m plus £8.7m add-ons, totalling £85.7m for Kane but sources close to Tottenham say the London club are still holding on for their £100m valuation of Kane.

With less than £20m gap between the two clubs, it is unclear whether Bayern Munich will increase their proposal or have Tottenham buck down their valuation of the player.

In modern transfer market with skyrocketed player valuations, £100m is not an overbloated sum for Harry Kane. If the likes of Declan Rice of Arsenal and Moises Caicedo of Brighton could be valued at £100m, Harry Kane’s prolific stats for club and country leaves him miles ahead.

However, the age factor is another twist in the deal. Harry Kane is 30 years old. Bayern Munich are more likely to have Kane run down his legendary career in Germany. The club only stands to benefit from his projected prolific performance on the field but may not command a good sale value on the transfer market after his spell with the Bundesliga giants.
