Asisat Oshoala stole the spotlights after she scored Nigeria’s third goal in a five-goal thriller against FIFA 2023 Women’s World Cup co-hosts, Australia.
The Barcelona forward netted a 77th-minute strike to take his World Cup tally to three goals which equaled her number of appearances in separate editions of the tournament.
Oshoala was subbed on in the game against Australia in the 64th minute after he missed the first game against Canada due to a knock.
The former Arsenal forward made her debut in the tournament count as she scored the third goal in Nigeria’s 3-2 win over Australia.
Oshoala cushioned Nigeria’s narrow 2-1 lead after goals from Uchenna Kanu and Osinahci canceled out Australia’s early lead from Emily van Egmond.
