Chelsea 2023/24 home kit has been unveiled by the club without a sponsor as they prepare for the 2023/24 Premier League season.
The club announced the unveiling of the new kit today, July 10, as they kick off preparations for preseason campaign.
Chelsea 2023/24 home kit shares some common features with the club’s past home kits. However, there are some cute but not-so-obvious departures.
Designed by renowned sportswear brand, Nike, it is predominantly pandering to the club’s historic nickname, “Blues.” But the new blue color is more detailed with a bolder and thicker look giving the shirt a scintillating appearance.
Unlike the old kit, Chelsea 2023/24 home kit is not only made for the colors and style but for the comfort of the players. Nike, the kit’s designers, have adopted their sophisticated modern innovation in fabric-making, Nike Dri-FIT ADV, which allows wears to quickly steam off heats and sweats in form of vapor in a matter of seconds.
The shirt still has the club’s badge on the left shoulder region while Nike’s logo is printed on the right side. Another slight departure from Chelsea’s old wear is a contrasting white lining on the rims of the sleeves.
Chelsea 2023/24 home kit dedicated to Chelsea 90’s generation
Chelsea have revealed the sparkling blue new kit is dedicated to the triumphant and heroic Chelsea squad of the 90’s featuring the likes of Roberto Di Matteo and Zola who led the club to victorious domestic and European campaigns.
Under former manager Gianluca Vialli, the era of Roberto Di Matteo and Zola has been deemed one of the most successful eras at Chelsea. The club won the domestic League Cup and the UEFA Cup Winners Cup. In the following year, they won the UEFA Super Cup.
Chelsea 2023/24 home kit unveiled without a sponsor
Chelsea 2023/24 home kit has no sponsor for now. We reported earlier Chelsea were looking for a new sponsor for their shirts and were close to brokering a deal with a betting company, stake.com, before they clashed with the Premier League and backed off from the deal.
Due to the lack of sponsors of the kit, the club have asked fans to bear with the club on possible future changes to the shirt when they finally find a sponsor. Some changes will be expected at the front side of the kit to carry the brand of the new sponsor. However, the club’s badge and Nike’s logo will not be affected.
“Fans should be aware that the 2023/24 home kit that features on pitch may subsequently feature a front-of-shirt partner. The club will communicate any changes to the kit in due course,” club statement said.
