Real Madrid’s new signing Arda Guler consoled her mother, Serap Güler, after she burst into tears during his unveiling as the new Real Madrid player.
While Real Madrid President Florentino Perez was giving a speech during the unveiling, Arda Guler was seen cleaning his mother’s tears as he kissed her on the cheek . The mother, Serap Guler, returned the favour afterward.
Arda’s father, Umit Guler, held Serap’s hand to console her.
During his unveiling as a new Real Madrid player, Arda Guler said, “I want to become a Real Madrid legend. I repeat that there have been many clubs that have presented their offers. But as soon as Real Madrid appeared, all of the others lost importance.”
Guler was asked questions about his future at Real Madrid, with rumors saying he is likely to move to another football club on loan due to the competition in the midfield. Guler replied, “I’m ruling out this possibility. I want to stay at Real Madrid.”
The 18-year-old midfielder was also asked who his idols were, and he was quick to reply,
“My idols? Cristiano Ronaldo, Zidane, Guti, and Mesut Ozil. I want to become a club legend just like them”.
Guler will wear number 24. He was introduced by Real Madrid President Florentino Perez, who said, “Every time a new player arrives, it generates a special joy in the millions of Real Madrid fans. Today, we strengthen the present and the future”.
