Former Manchester City assistant manager, Enzo Maresca, 43, is Leicester City new manager.
Maresca will be at the Leciester City dugout in what could be seen as a leap in his managerial career after helping Pep Guardiola secure a historic treble with Manchester City.
Maresca has served on assistant capacities at various clubs, including a one-time first team manager role at Parma in Serie B before the Leicester City job.
Speaking about joining the club, Maresca told the club website: “I’m very excited because of the Club [I’m joining] and because we have a big season ahead of us.
“At the beginning, the target is to play in the best way we can. From there, we can build, day by day, our idea and our philosophy, and the most important thing is to try to win games.”
Enzo Maresca will replace Dean Smith as Leicester City manager after the latter failed to rescue the Foxes from relegation after a short spell that saw him took charge of 8 last Premier League games.
Other high-profile managers were linked to the Leicester City job. Former Chelsea manager Graham Potter was linked to the job including former Manchester United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
England football veteran and former Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard also made the shortlist of potential replacements for Dean Smith but Maresca is said to have impressed Leicester City during interview, overtaking others to land the job.
Maresca will face a huge task of bringing Leicester City back to the Premier League. He was sacked at Parma after just fourteen games. Also, some top shots in Leicester City squad are set to leave the club with their contracts expiring this summer. A summer overhaul is also expected as the Foxes prepare for the 2023/24 Championships season.
Youri Tielemans, Nampalys, Perez, Caglar Soyuncu, Amartey, Nampalys will all leave the club this summer.
The likes of Ndidi and Maddison, are also linked to summer exits.
