The government of Saudi Arabia is preparing a staggering deal to bring Lionel Messi to the Saudi Pro League this summer.

Messi is set to exit Paris Saint Germain at the expiration of the campaign, with his father, Jorge, apparently informing Les Parisians of the decision in April.

It is uncertain which club Messi would be joining next, but the Argentine won’t be short of offers as he makes his choice over his next destination.

Saudi Arabian heavyweights Al-Hilal are ready to make him the highest paid athlete in history.

This news comes after Messi was suspended for two weeks by PSG after making an unapproved visit to Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia are hoping to lure the 35-year-old to join Cristiano Ronaldo to the Middle East after the Portuguese penned a deal with Al-Nassr in 2022.

Lionel Messi has reportedly been tabled £320 million a year, almost twice the £165 million wage his rival, Ronaldo is paid annually at Al-Nassr, with the former Barcelona man linked with Al-Hilal.

The enticing offer has been put forward for the last few weeks as the PSG attacker prepares to make a big decision concerning his future after he becomes a free agent by the 30th of June.

Garry Cook, who was a former Manchester City chief executive, is believed to be involved in every possible deal as he was appointed as the Saudi Pro League’s CEO at the beginning of 2023.

Lionel Messi took pictures with his wife Antonella during their visit to Saudi Arabia, where he had earlier planned a trip due to his commercial commitments as an ambassador for tourism.

The World Cup winner penned a £25m-a-year contract with Saudi Arabia in 2022 to become a tourism ambassador.

PSG players were regularly scheduled to have a day off after any Sunday encounter but due to the 3-1 loss against Lorient the day off was canceled as Christophe Galtier called the PSG team for training.

However, Lionel Messi was already onboard to Saudi Arabia, despite the trip not being approved by neither Luis Ocampos nor Christophe Galtier.

Messi has subsequently been suspended and it looks like the relationship between both parties is headed for a break up.

There are also interests from the United States Of America for the signature of the 2022 FIFA World Cup winner while former club, Barcelona are said to be focused on bringing him back to the Nou Camp.

The Argentine has been booed several times this season and even the previous season by the Paris Saint Germain fans with the latest notable one being in their 1-0 league loss against Lyon in April.

Many PSG faithfuls aren’t happy over the performances of Lionel Messi at the Capital based club including his inability to land the side the elusive UEFA Champions League title despite earning a huge wage.
