Al Nassr forward Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly wants to exit the Saudi Arabian club just months after his move to the side from Manchester United.
Ronaldo and Manchester United mutually agreed to terminate the contract between both parties after his explosive interview with Piers Morgan.
The former Juventus forward then penned a £175 million-a-year staggering deal until 2025 with the Saudi Arabian club.
However according to El Nacional, it now seems Real Madrid are willing to hand Cristiano Ronaldo a non-playing role as an ambassador because the player is said to be nostalgic for his life in Madrid.
The Spanish media outlet stated: “Florentino Perez has guaranteed that Ronaldo will not lack work at the Santiago Bernabeu.
“But, obviously, he wouldn’t do it to be a player, because he considers that it is a cycle that should be considered closed.”
The partner of the Portuguese, Georgina Rodriguez is also said to be keen for a return to the City of Madrid where the pair met.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a Real Madrid great, having netted 451 goals in 438 appearances during his time in Spain.
The former Sporting Lisbon man won four Champions League titles, three Club World Cups and UEFA Super Cups at Real Madrid.
He additionally lifted two LaLiga titles, a pair of Copa del Rey and two Spanish Super Cups with Los Blancos.
The Al Nassr captain has scored 12 goals in 15 Saudi Pro league games this campaign since arriving in January.
Cristiano Ronaldo scored after just four minutes as Al-Nassr picked up a comprehensive 3-0 win at home to Al-Raed last Friday.
The win sees Al-Nassr, who are in second place in the top-flight league in Saudi Arabia, reduce the gap on Al-Ittihad to three points, although Al-Ittihad have a game outstanding.
Cristiano Ronaldo took Al-Nassr ahead with a header as he connected with a cross from Sultan Al Ghannam.
Ronaldo has endured mixed fortunes in his first few months at Al Nassr with reports circulating that he caused the dismissal of former manager Rudi Garcia.
Al Nassr have also crashed out of all cup competitions with the most recent being the King’s Cup which they lost out by 1-0 to Al-Wehda.
Footage of him vociferously ranting at an Al Nassr official was also seen during the King’s Cup exit as players approached the tunnel for the interval.
Ronaldo’s side returned to winning ways in the Saudi Pro League last Friday after a poor run that saw them pick up 1 point from a possible 6 available.
The Portuguese enjoyed remarkable success at Real Madrid where he spent nine seasons before he penned an £88 million deal in 2018 to sign for Italian heavyweights Juventus.
During his time at Real Madrid, he won four Ballon D’ors and two The Best FIFA Men’s Player award amongst many other awards.
