Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney has made a cheeky effort to lure Gareth Bale out of retirement to join the Championship club.
Bale, who retired at the age of 33, is obviously enjoying his retirement and he also took out time to congratulate McElhenney after Wrexham got promoted.
The former Tottenham and Real Madid winger in a short video said: “Hi Rob, just want to congratulate you on your promotion and everything you’re doing at Wrexham.”
McElhenney now reposted the video on his personal Twitter account and captioned it with a cheeky message.
In his post which he tagged the five-time Champions League winner, he wrote: “Hey @GarethBale11 let’s play golf, where I totally won’t spend 4 hours trying to convince you to un-retire for one last magical season 🏴🏴 🏴 🏴❤️”
Bale retired from club football after featuring 14 times and scoring three goals for Los Angelis FC in the Major League Soccer.
Bale also scored in the just concluded World Cup in Qatar after he helped his country secure a 1-1 draw with USA.
Wrexham have previously convinced one former Premier League star to come out of retirement this season.
The newly-crowned Champions signed Ben Foster and the former England goalkeeper played a huge part in landing them to the National League title.
Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, were moved to tears as they witnessed the team gain promotion to EFL.
The promotions brought about emotional scenes in the stadium after full-time whistle as Hollywood star, Reynolds and media icon McElhenney, called their families while crying.
Reynolds and McElhenney’s actions have seen them named the “best owners in football” by fans online.

Ryan Reynolds reportedly spent about £40,000 on vintage whisky for Wrexham fans after their promotion.
A source confirmed that; “He had invited fans to sample the booze last week and left a load after the game on Saturday.”
“Ryan has been nothing but generous to Wrexham fans for their support but they were stunned when he handed over the vintage whisky.”
“He had invited fans to sample some of the booze last week and then left 40 bottles for them to enjoy on Saturday after the match.”
“The bottles cost £1,000 a-piece but the fans made light work of them. They partied into the early hours and a few people were seen swilling from the bottles on Sunday morning when the Turf opened again.”
Reynolds who is also worth £280 million took the players and staff of Wrexham for “Slap-Up” dinner to celebrate the promotion on Sunday.
