In 2022, the 23-year-old Arsenal star stood trial in court. He denied leaving the Tiago to cause mayhem, adding he was unaware Tiago was let loose before it attacked Saeid.

Following deliberations by the court, Reiss Nielson was granted bail unconditionally.

Now, Daily Mail reports he is set to reappear for trial in court in September 4, 2023 for criminal charges due to the incident.

According to reports, Arsenal are unhappy with the new development on Reiss Nielson’s case.

Reiss Nielson has played a little role in Arsenal’s title-chasing run but is a priority player for Arteta

While the trial will take place on September 4 after the current season must have ended, the news will not sit well with the Gunners who may see it as an unnecessary distraction on their Premier League title-chase this season.

Reiss Nielson has played little role on Arsenal’s brilliant Premier League run but he is a priority player for Mikel Arteta.

Reiss Nielson produced a stunning performance for the Gunners in their dramatic 3-2 comeback win over Bournemouth in the Premier League.

After assisting Thomas Partey’s equaliser, Nielson delivered a stunning 97th-minute half-volley that wrestle all three points for the Gunners at the dearth against Bournemouth.

Neilson has made just 11 appearances for Arsenal this season, scoring three goals and delivering three assists.

Despite falling out of Arsenal’s first team under Arteta, the club is keen on renewing his contract due to his game-changing impact each time he comes on for the team.

Arsenal are leading the race to the Premier League title with a clear eight points gap on the table.

The Gunners are eyeing a first Premier League silverware since 2003/04 season and must maintain a perfect and undistracted dressing room to stay put in the Premier League title race.

They will face Liverpool on Sunday and Nielson will likely make the bench for the team despite the criminal charge.

According to reports, Reiss Nielson could be fined if convicted in September.

As at the time of filing this reports, both Nielson and Arsenal were yet to respond to the criminal charge.
