French midfielder, Paul Pogba, has eventually made his second debut for Juventus, three-hundred-and-fifteen (315) days since his last appearance in a competitive encounter.

Pogba played his last and final game for Manchester United three-hundred-and-fifteen (315) days ago after picking up a calf injury during United’s loss to Liverpool in April 2022.

In view of his second debut for Juventus, Paul Pogba picked up a knock that was revealed to be an acute knee injury.

The 29-year-old was pushed to go through a surgery on his right knee last September, ruling him out of action for the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Whilst he was injured, Juventus crashed out of the UEFA Champions League before they were hammered with a staggering fifteen (15) points deduction in the Italian Serie A for transfer irregularities.

Pogba conditionally got back to training with the Bianconeri side in January and he was amongst the substitutes listed on the bench for Juventus in their 2-0 embarrassing defeat to the hands of Monza on the 29th of January, just so he can warm up with his colleagues.

The midfielder has now fully returned to match fitness and he was put into the squad to face Torino in the Turin Derby on Tuesday.

He came in for Enzo Barrenechea on the 69th minute with the score still on parity at 2-2.

And his incoming looked to have brought spark and electricity to the Juventus side with Gleison Breimer shooting Juventus into the lead two minutes after his introduction.

Adrien Rabiot put the final nail on the coffin making it 4-2 with ten (10) minutes to go before the end of regulation time.

Allegri speaking about the midfielder before the derby match

Before the clash with Torino, Masimiliano Allegri spoke about Pogba and he said: “He’s better, he’ll be called up tomorrow (Tuesday).

“If there’s a need tomorrow, we’ll put him on, he certainly won’t be able to play a lot of minutes (Tuesday).”

Allegri further added: “Now, to say that Pogba can be a starter for Juventus after 315 days without playing, Federico Chiesa, who has been out for 10 months, is the same thing. We need a bit of patience.”

When asked about what he wants from Paul Pogba, he said: “I spoke to him like I do with other players.

“He has to understand that it’s an important part of the season to get back on track, he has to have all the motivation to do good until the end of the season and give us a hand.”

The Turin based side went into the derby, thirteen (13) points adrift of the top four (4) and they sit eighth (8th) due to the deduction slammed on them.

Juventus and Paul Pogba would soon return to European action after they were scheduled and set to battle German side SC Freiburg in the UEFA Europa League round of sixteen (16) after beating Nantes in the round of thirty-two (32).
