Fred Rodrigues of Manchester United and his wife Monique Salum are two-year-old as husband and wife. The 27-year-old Brazil midfielder took to his Instagram account to share pictures of himself, his wife and their one-year-old son, Benjamin to mark the love anniversary.
One of the pictures he shared to his 1.5 million Instagram followers was the couple’s wedding picture. Others showed the couple and their son, and then, pictures taken while on vacation or night outs.
In the caption of the pictures, Fred wrote about how their two-year-old marriage has been filled with harmony and happiness. He noted how proud he has been to live his life on the side of his wife.
“Thank you for everything you do for us and our family, and may God continue to bless and empower you always”, the Manchester United star wrote in Portuguese. “Never forget that that kiss I give you every morning is what gives me strength for an entire day. Just the two of us, with our children, in our living room, laughing at everything. Just remembering the sacrifice we made for both of us.”
Fred and Monique Salum’s relationship
Monique Salum has been a longtime lover of Fred but it was in 2016 that the world got to know that the Manchester United star was in a relationship with the stunning Brazilian lady.
A year after their relationship had gone public, the couple announced their engagement via Facebook in February 2017 while Fred was still playing for Ukrainian club, Shakhtar Donetsk. Since then, there has not been any reason to turn back.

Monique Salum and the Manchester United midfielder first got married in a private ceremony on 15 July 2018, one month after he joined Manchester United from Shakhtar Donetsk.
After about 6 months, the couple decided to organise a grand wedding in their home country, Brazil where all their family and friends were in attendance.
Since then, they have been living the dream life based on the stunning family pictures they often share on Instagram.
Monique and Fred’s child
The marriage of the Brazilian couple is blessed with a bouncing baby boy. According to the announcement of the Manchester United midfielder, the boy was born on 16th of January 2019. They named him Benjamin.
While announcing the birth of the child, Fred took to his Instagram account to describe the boy as his greatest treasure.
“When a child is born, born in the heart of parents one love greater than life and more eternal than time”, he wrote. “Welcome to the world my beloved son! We love you so much, Benjamin!”
Who is Monique Salum?
Besides the fact that Monique is a beautiful Brazilian lady and a wife of a Brazilian football star who plays for Manchester United, she has been doing so well for herself.
She is a graduate of chemical engineering from the University Centre of Belo Horizonte in Brazil. While she was there, she was not just a student but also worked at the research centre.
As at last check, she is a staff at the Centre for the Development of Nuclear Technology.
