Tottenham Hotspurs defender Serge Aurier has lost his brother to the cold of death after being gunned down in Toulouse.
The horrible incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning. It was gathered that 26-year-old Christopher Aurier was hit by two gunshots in the abdomen not far from a nightclub in the west suburbs of the city.
Before the arrival of police and the emergency services, the killer fled the scene at an industrial estate where the shooting happened.
Although Aurier was taken to hospital, but could not make it. This has prompted an investigation and the police are asking for potential witnesses or people with information to come forward.
‘We are with you Aurier’
Spurs in a statement lend the hands of support to the Ivorian international by condoling with him and his family over the sad incident.
“The club is deeply saddened to confirm media reports that Serge Aurier’s brother passed away in the early hours of this morning.
“We are supporting Serge at this difficult time and we ask that the privacy of the player and his family is respected.
“Everybody at the club sends their sincerest condolences to Serge and his family. Our thoughts are with them all.”

Aurier’s younger brother was plying his trade for Toulouse Rodeo in France’s fifth division before his death. He already had a stint with Racing Club de Lens, Gueugnon, Chantilly and Belgian club Rebecq.
