“The concerns of Cibo Hale and Cibo hinge on the attendant risks and losses from the uncouth moves of the firms, who are edging on a poor imitation of the originals of Cibo to sway clients and damage the reputation of the main company.

“The Claimants have suffered and continue to suffer loss and damage.

“The goodwill, and the associated reputation, of the Claimants is likely to be damaged by wrongly being associated with provision of the Defendants’ services.”

They also claim that their rivals pinched their signs and changed their interior to look similar in “a deliberate campaign” to confuse customers.

Cibo is seeking damages and an injunction to stop the other restaurants from using the name.

Cristiano Ronaldo, Tyson Fury, Alex Ferguson, Darwin Nunez, others regularly patronize Cibo.

Cibo are particularly concerned of losing the high-profile clients to the aforementioned rivals and are worried of sabotage as well through the rivals’ imitation schemes.
