The 2019-2020 season is gradually coming to an end but the movement of players from clubs to clubs are still heating up. Though this summer transfer season has not recorded any record signing yet, some heavy sum of millions have already exchanged hands and more will in the coming days.
In the meantime, here are the latest developments in the transfer market:
Declan Rice transfer to Chelsea
Chelsea football club is reportedly interested in the signature of West Ham United‘s defensive midfielder Declan Rice. Reports are saying that Frank Lampard wants the 21-years-old Englishman to lead their defence next season.
Declan Rice joined Chelsea youth team briefly in 2013 and switched to West Ham that same year. The Stamford Bridge-based club believes that the youngster would join the club this summer. He is currently worth about €49 million in the transfer market.
This season, he has featured for West Ham United 32 times in all competitions making only two assists.
Southampton Proposed Swap Deal
Southampton intends to bring French midfielder Olivier Ntcham from Celtic to the Premier League this summer. They intend to achieve that by swapping their goalkeeper Fraser Forster with the French international.
This season, the 24-year-old French midfielder has played 38 times for Celtic, scoring 8 goals and has made 4 assists in all competitions. While Fraser Forster has made 39 appearances, conceded 28 goals and has kept 17 clean sheets in all competitions.
Kai Havertz’s possible transfer to Chelsea
Kai Havertz has been constantly linked with a move to Chelsea football club but Peter Bosz, the manager of his current club, Bayer Leverkusen, is hopeful of keeping hold of him beyond next season. While admitting how he hopes to keep the player, he also admitted that the 21-year-old attacking midfielder could leave this summer.
Based on his performance this season, Kai Havertz should be a priceless jewel but his current market value is about €81 million.
He is so expensive because this season alone, he has scored 16 goals and has made 9 assists in 42 appearances in all competitions.
Jack Grealish move to Manchester United
Jack Grealish looks set to leave Aston Villa to join Manchester United this summer. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has been linked with a move to the Old Trafford and it is beginning to look like a huge possibility.
Reports have it that the Englishman has just purchased a mansion in the North Western part of England which is the same region Manchester United is based. His market value (€31 Million) is quite encouraging and would not be a big deal for United to afford.
Besides that, he has been one of Aston Villa’s brightest stars this season. So far, the attacking midfielder has scored 9 goals and has made 8 assists in 35 appearances in all competitions.
