England vs Iran: England have shown they mean business in the 2022 FIFA World Cup after showing a perfect performance against Iran by scoring six goals against their opponent.

Jude Bellingham scored England’s first goal with a beautiful header in the 35th minute. In order to get past Majid Hosseini and head the ball past Hossein into the far corner, he leaps on to a cross from the left by Luke Shaw.

Bukayo Saka’s goal came from a corner in the 43rd minute. Trippier delivered an impressive ball into the box, Harry Maguire got a lot of power on the ball, and it fell on Saka, who hit the ball to the top corner of the net.

In the 45th minute, Raheem Sterling scored his first goal in the competition.

Afterward, Harry Kane was given the ball down the right after Bellingham won the ball in midfield. With an outside of his boot, Raheem Sterling scored the cross at the near post.

Rashford had another attempt on goal in the 84th minute, but it was blocked by the Iran defender.

Jack Grealish scored the sixth goal of the game in the 90th minute after receiving an excellent ball from Callum Wilson. Unfortunately, it was a marginal offside from Wilson.

Sardar Azmoun of Iran got a change and hit the ball toward the crossbar in the 90+8 minutes. It was a good hit, and Pickford was there to make an excellent save, although the ball was given as a goal kick.

John Stones dragged Taremi by his shirt, and the VAR had no other option than to award the penalty to the Iran side in the 90+11 minutes.

In the next 90+13 minutes, Iran scored the second consolidation goal from the penalty spot. Mehdi Taremi sent Jordan Pickford to the wrong side of the goal post.

After the thrilling encounter, England ran away with a 6-2 victory. Hence, for the second time in the history of the World Cup, England had scored six goals in the group stage.
