Eden Hazard’s problem in Real Madrid is being too nice

Former Chelsea teammate, Nemanja Matic says Eden Hazard will prove he is one of the best players in the world at Real Madrid.

Hazard finally joined Los Blancos in June on a €100million deal after months of linking him with a move to Santiago Bernabeu.

The Belgium international left the Blues scoring 16 Premier League goals in his final season at Stamford Bridge. Though, Madrid fans have only seen short looks of his talent since his move.

The Belgian did not have a good season-start with suffering an ankle injury plus a hamstring problem earlier in the season. He has just one goal for Madrid in 13 appearances.

The now Manchester United midfielder, Matic, is adamant his former Chelsea mate will be successful in Spain. But insists the former Chelsea playmaker is too nice.

The quality display of the Belgian led to his multi-million Euro switch to Bernabeu. But he is yet to unveil the monster in him, which Matic hopes to see in the next five or six games.

Matic told Omnisport “Eden Hazard’s only problem is that he’s such a nice guy,”

“He’s so nice and he will take some more time to adapt.

“At Real Madrid, if you don’t score in the first two, three games… if you don’t score or play well, they criticize you a lot.

“The pressure is big, but he also had an injury, but I’m sure in the next five, six months and next season he will be again one of the best players in the world.”

It is clear that Hazard is also not hungry for goals, he performs his winger role well then lay it across to the striker to score.

He only enjoys football and dazzles nicely in his performances earning him the player with the most successful dribble in Europe last season. Edging above the likes of Lionel Messi and Mohammed Salah
